A FENWICK native has been recognised for his dedication as a lead pilot instructor and RAF reservist.
Mark Faulds, originally from south of Glasgow, has accumulated 31 years of flying experience since joining the RAF in 1990.
He currently balances his dual roles as a lead pilot instructor for the P-8 Poseidon at Boeing and a dedicated RAF reservist.
His career highlights include flying the UK's first P-8 aircraft back into the country.
He said: "It was a significant milestone for the RAF, and I take great pride in being part of that moment."
Before his current position at Boeing, where he provides crucial training to new Poseidon pilots, Mr Faulds was the RAF's chief flying instructor.

At Boeing, he balances his responsibilities while dedicating around 10 days a year to his reservist service, allowing him to maintain his flying duties.
Steve Burnell, managing director of Boeing Defence UK, said: "His dedication to both Boeing and the RAF exemplifies the values of service, leadership and excellence we look for in our valued teammates.
"We are proud to celebrate his contributions and the impact he has had on both military and civilian aviation."
The P-8 Poseidon, the aircraft he instructs on, is a vital asset in monitoring the UK's and Europe's maritime and national security.
Equipped with advanced technology, this aircraft plays a crucial role in adapting to the changing needs of its missions.
