AN Ayrshire hotel has been awarded prestigious four-star status.
The Fenwick Hotel in East Ayrshire earned the upgrade following a recent inspection by the AA, moving up from its previous three-star rating.
Hotel management described the new status as a "proud day" and dedicated the achievement to its team and supporters.
The AA assessment considers many different aspects of the guest experience, including service, hospitality, food quality, cleanliness, bedrooms, mattresses, pillows, facilities and attention to detail.
Owners Robin and Jaspreet Bawa said: “We are incredibly proud to have achieved AA Four Star status. This recognition belongs to our entire team, whose hard work, commitment and care for our guests have made it possible.
“Since taking over The Fenwick Hotel, our ambition has been to restore and enhance this much-loved local hotel while preserving the warmth and character that mean so much to the community.
“We have invested considerably in the property, our food offering and the overall guest experience, but this is only the beginning.
"With the transformation of our 1870 restaurant now under way, we are excited about the next chapter for The Fenwick.”
The hotel would also like to thank its guests and the local community for their continued encouragement and support.
